What is the best age to photograph your baby?

Well you might have guessed it, the first stage to get your baby photographed is the newborn stage. Photographing your little newborn once they have arrived within the first 2 weeks is the best time frame. At this stage they are usually still very sleepy and love being wrapped up all warm and cosy. Documenting all of their tiny little features, those cute toes, feet and not to mention those chubby cheeks you just want to keep kissing every day. Before you know if the newborn phase is over and your baby has learnt how to walk and say their first word. Where does the time go! I totally recommend booking in a newborn photography session, you won't regret it 😊.

3 Months baby session

Not everyone will get their baby photographed at 3 months old. This is a bit of an in-between stage but they are also starting to develop your cute little personalities and show us who they are. At this age they will be able to hold their head up while doing a bit of tummy time, showing us their adorable smile! For babies around this age I also have cute props that they can sit in with cushioning around them to support them sitting up. 6 - 9 months baby photoshoot

6-9 months old is one of my favourite stages, it's so cute! It's best to book the session when your baby can sit un aided, You will get a lot more out of the photoshoot this way. Now your baby has got to the age where they have been crawling around like they are an olympic medalist, they just want to be everywhere.... and fast. There's lots of things they want to discover and they don't want to miss out on the fun 😊. 1 year baby photoshoot

Your baby has turned 1 and it's time to book in their first year photoshoot. You can either do a normal babies first birthday photoshoot without a cake or you can book a cake smash session. A cake smash photoshoot is so much fun, it's so funny seeing how each baby is with the cake. Some babies will get right in there, face planting and taking a big bite, while others are a bit more reserved.
