A Beautiful Newborn Session at Home


As a London newborn photographer, one of the most rewarding parts of my job is being invited into a family’s home during those first precious weeks. Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful in-home newborn session in London — and it was a perfect reminder of why I love what I do.

There’s something truly special about photographing a newborn in their own space. Home is where your story begins, and that’s what lifestyle newborn photography is all about — capturing your baby’s first days in the most natural, relaxed way possible.

Newborn sessions at home are calm, unhurried, and deeply personal. Your baby is in their own environment, which means you can relax, take your time, and simply enjoy the experience. As a London lifestyle newborn photographer, my aim is to document your real moments — the soft snuggles, the sleepy stretches, the quiet love that fills your home.

During this session, baby Alex was about a week old, surrounded by love and the warmth of home. We started the session in the lounge, where the natural light was soft and golden — perfect for those intimate, cosy family photos. Baby curled into mum’s chest and the whole house felt wrapped in calm.


Capturing the little details

One of my favourite parts of this newborn photography session was the connection between the family, this is the second newborn session I have captured for this family and being asked back is such a privilege. During home natural newborn sessions in London, I don’t rely on heavy props or posing. Instead, I focus on real connection — the way you look at your baby, the little smiles you share, and the everyday beauty of your family just being together.
